Estonian ID Card Software binaires for Debian-Linux

Here you find binaries of RIA ID-card software_ v3.7.2 compiled for Debian 7.2 (wheezy) following this howto (author: Martin Paljak).

You can add this PPA with the following terminal command (just one line):

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://getreu.net/public/downloads/software/repository/ ./'
           >> /etc/apt/sources.list"
The packages are not signed. Please ensure integrity and authenticity by verifying their sha256 sums. This is highly security relevant software. Please do not trust any non-official source and use these binary packages only in case you me in person.

Building RIA ID-card software v3.7.1 packages on Debian

  • This is provided on AS IS basis, no warranty whatsoever.

  • This works for me on Debian 7.0 amd64, YMMV. Ubuntu 12.10 also.

  • Debian 6.0 (Squeeze) users a stuck with v3.6 and should use the debian6 branch

  • Make sure you can use sudo (add yourself to "sudo" group)!

  • There are proper tarballs now available, for packages built from those tarballs, have a look at https://code.launchpad.net/~boamaod/+junk/eid-debs

  • E-mail package contacts if you find problems with packages or software.

Good luck.
